It’s almost 8 years to the day since I launched CheapAccounting.co.uk. Back then I had a vision of what I wanted CheapAccounting.co.uk to be and I’m very pleased to say that the vision has become reality; in fact the reality far exceeds the expectations I had for CheapAccounting.co.uk way back in 2007.
CheapAccounting.co.uk On Line Accountant of the Year
I could never have dreamed that CheapAccounting.co.uk would be named as the On Line Accountant of the year at the British Accountancy Awards, that I’d become a regular expert on BBC Radio 4’s Money Box or that I’d make the front pages of the national papers for a good reason!
Luckily for me and CheapAccounting.co.uk many others (clients and franchisee alike) believe in our brand and the successful business model.
Franchisee Success and ROI
Take our franchisee Kathryn who joined us in late January 2014 and took her first new client enquiry on 30th January.
Just over a year later Kathryn has 200 clients with a gross income going forward of circa £80, 000 per annum. Of course she has incurred franchise fees to build that client base and income but so far these have come to a little less than £12, 000.
I think anyone would be hard pushed to think that wasn’t a jolly good return on the investment.
Just a good accountant
I’m sure Kathryn won’t mind me saying that, with all due respect, there’s nothing particularly special about her! Of course she’s a damn good accountant and she works hard. But that’s just business as usual and what we expect from all of our franchisees; quality and professionalism comes as standard with our accountants (who incidentally are all qualified and UK based).
Hard working accountancy business owners
Building any business requires hard work and commitment; this applies equally to an accountancy practice. Any accountancy practice owner will spend the first year to 18 months building up a portfolio of clients regardless of which route they go down at launch (organic growth, buying a Practice, buying a block of fees or investing in a franchise).
At CheapAccounting.co.uk our franchisee accountants build up an interesting assortment of clients who often pay a monthly fee, which helps with immediate cash flow needs, as well as developing significant capital value in their business as their turnover and profits increase. So not only do they earn a good day-to-day income but they are building up “a pension pot” for the future.
