A lot was said on the 59 minutes that George Osborne took to deliver his budget speech.
However most of it was lost on the ‘normal person’!
Most does not apply to our CheapAccounting.co.uk clients – so I am not going to bore them with all of the details to plough through.*
In fact all but one change for the forth coming tax year 2011 / 2012 was already known – so no surprises there!
The only surprise and good news was the success of our :
Campaign to increase mileage rate from 40p / mile!
Run on Facebook at :
The mileage rates from 6 April 2011 are as follows:
45p / mile for the first 10,000 mile
25p / mile after 10,000 miles
May not be much but every little helps.
To be honest the rest of the budget was all Jam Tomorrow!
A few being …
- Introduction of Enterprise Zones
- Merging Tax and National Insurance
- Tax to be simplified
- Technical Colleges
So for now it is back to ‘business as usual’.
The excitement of the Budget 2011 is over.
